How to access the Web Folder in 'My Filing' Cabinet

Target Audience : Instructor

With effect from 20 July 2009

To access the Web Folder (for Personal, Course and Organisation Drawers), ensure that you already done the Set Up .


To connect:

 

1. Open Start > Computer > Right Click

 


 

2. Add a Network Location/Place (A popup window will reveal an Add Network Place Wizard).

 


 

3. Follow the instructions on the “Add Network Place Wizard. Select “Choose another network location”.

 

4. When prompted for internet or network address, type in the Web Folder address.

 

5. When prompted for username and password, enter your Campus Wide Login (CWL) ID and password.

 

6. You will then be prompted to enter a name for the Network Place.

 

7. Complete the process and click on Finish.

 

8. The Web Folder should now be listed in My Network Places.

 


 

9. With this you able to directly drag-and-drop multiple folders and files between the local computer and the web folder(s).
